From San Diego County, here is a Surfliner heading north. The big news about the Surfliners is the second one going to San Luis Obispo is set to debut in early November 2004. The low-level "Horizon" equipment shown in this picture will be on this new train, but it is supposed to carry the full dome car that is in the Los Angeles equipment pool.
