Amtrak’s actions regarding the Southwest Chief, threatening to stop running the train through western Kansas, Colorado and eastern New Mexico via the Raton Pass have run into opposition from the Senators for those states.

Please support our efforts by writing to Feinstein and Harris, or Cortez Masto and Heller if you are in Nevada quoting the above news report. Any curtailment in the operation of the “Chief” sets a very serious precedent for the national system which we cannot let pass.
