Most Sunset Limited passengers don’t see the Palm Springs, CA station in the daylight: the train arrives in the middle of the night. This attractive covered waiting area has paved parking, new platforms and lights, and a security guard on duty at train times. Los Angeles’ Metrolink plans to eventually extend service to this station. The tri-weekly Sunset Limited and its Texas Eagle through cars are the only train service here. RailPAC continues to seek daily service.
