Each year we post a cool weather rail photo to help us get through a hot
summer. While this summer has been milder than most, the Santa Barbara station
always is a cool place to visit by train. Here Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train
775 is about to depart on time to San Luis Obispo on a cold February 15 Sunday
evening. We also salute the two faces you will see there, station agent
Richard Marshall (left) and long time RailPAC member George Thorpe, who is a
volunteer station "host."
